The Collective is proudly showcasing the work of more than 100 local artists, from established to emerging makers alike. Their goal is to offer a space where talent, tradition, and community meet. 2026 "44º North" Open Art Show
The 15th Annual "44º North" Downeast Open Art Show will be conducted by Rising Tides Downeast Artisan Collective from June 12th to July 14th. To exhibit in this show, contact the Collective through their website, facebook page or by visiting the Gallery.
The "44º North" Downeast Open Art Show is an exciting and inspiring annual event that features artworks by a number of Maine artists who live within 44 nautical miles of Milbridge. Artists of many ages and levels training may each exhibit two recent pieces.

Schooner Gallery features contemporary fine art in Downeast Maine.
Schooner Gallery opened in May 2011 and features contemporary fine art. The gallery is located at 59 Main Street in the town of Milbridge in what was known in the mid-1800s as the “Captain Brown home.” The building was renovated inside and out to create bright and open space for exhibiting works of art.
Visitors from both far and locally have given generous compliments for the art shows that have been offered since opening. Schooner Gallery has been described as one of the best small art galleries in the Downeast region of Maine.
In addition to art shows exhibiting works by talented Maine artists, Schooner Gallery has a gift shop with select Maine-made products as well as visitor information about local businesses and attractions.
